Sealy Ties for Medalist Honors at Florida One-Day Shootout

ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFAthletics.com) -- UCF Sophomore Monifa Sealy tied for medalist honors at Monday's Florida One-Day Shootout. Sealy tied with Florida's Camilla Hedberg for top individual finish at the event, which was held at the Black Diamond Quarry course in Lecanto, Fla.

Sealy and Hedberg each fired rounds of 72 (E) and 71 (-1) to finish the 36-hole event with 1-under par scores of 143. Hedberg and her Florida teammates were the team champions in the event, tallying a team score of 586 (+10).

Florida State (595, +19) finished as the team runner-up, while Miami (599, +23) was third. UCF (608, +32) finished fourth, while USF (616, +40) rounded out the field.

While Sealy paced the Knights, Robyn Doig tied for 18th with scores of 75 and 80 for a two-round total of 155 (+11). Carolin Pinegger (78-80) and Kaitlyn Price (82-76) were the final two scoring players for UCF and tied for 26th after the two-round event, carding scores of 158 (+14). Jessica Schall (76-83-159, +15) also competed for UCF.

UCF freshman Paola Robles turned in a top-10 finish, playing as an individual. Valentina Fontaine (79-83-162, +20) also took part as an individual.

The Knights are back in action again Feb. 10-12, when they host the UCF Challenge at RedTail Golf Club in Sorrento, Fla.
