After a strong finish to the fall with a second-place finish at the Las Vegas Collegiate Showdown, the UCF women's golf team opens the spring portion of its schedule Monday, competing in the Florida One-Day Shootout. The tournament will be held at the Black Diamond Ranch Quarry Course in Lecanto, Fla.
This 36-hole, one-day event will feature many of the top teams in the state of Florida. No. 3 Florida, No. 50 UCF, USF, FSU, and Miami will all be competing.
The One-Day Shootout is cool, head coach Emily Marron said. This is the first year for the One-Day Shootout. All five of the big Florida schools will be playing and we'd like to start off with some bragging rights in the state. We're excited about starting the spring schedule.
UCF will feature Monifa Sealy, Carolin Pinegger, Robyn Doig, Jessica Schall and Kaitlyn Price for the team portion of the competition. Valentina Fontaine and Paola Robles will see action as individuals.
