ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFAthletics.com) - Following some tough competition at the UCF Invitational Jan.19-21, the UCF women's tennis team opens its dual-match schedule this weekend on campus. The Knights will host Bethune-Cookman Friday at 2 p.m. as well as Florida A&M Saturday at noon at the UCF Tennis Complex. Admission is free for all fans.

The Knights competed against Florida State, Furman and Iowa last weekend to start the spring slate. Caroline Eberhart went 3-0 in doubles, winning a pair of matches with Courtney Griffith and another with Clare Mendell. Meanwhile, Mendell was 2-0 in singles play, and has a 7-3 record for 2012-13. Eberhart and Josephine Haraldson pace the team with eight singles wins.

Bethune-Cookman is predicted to finish second in the MEAC, and this will be the dual-match opener as well for the Wildcats. Its roster features seven players who hail from seven different countries.

Florida A&M owns a 0-1 record with a loss to Florida State Jan. 15. UCF boasts a 7-0 all-time record vs. B-CU and a 17-0 mark against FAMU. The Knights and Rattlers have faced off every season since 2001-02.
