ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFAthletics.com) - UCF sophomore Octavious Freeman was named the Conference USA Track and Field Female Athlete of the Week on Tuesday.

Coming off an impressive opening weekend, Freeman posted two performances that rank among the NCAA's top 10 in the 60 meters and 200 meters. She dominated the 60m with the second-best time in the nation of 7.20 in the preliminaries. Along with four other teammates in the eight-competitor final, Freeman ran away with first place with a time of 7.24.

In the 200 meters, she helped UCF sweep the top five finishes of the event with a second-place time of 23.79, which ranks eighth in the nation. Freeman earned the first honor bestowed this season and it marks her fourth-career indoor-weekly accolade.

The No. 11 Knights have a busy week lined up with Thursday's Gator Invitational in Gainesville before Saturday's Auburn Invitational in Birmingham, Ala.
