ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFAthletics.com) - UCF All-American sprinter Octavious Freeman received mention for the Bowerman Preseason Watch List, which was released by the USTFCCCA Thursday.
The Bowerman, which debuted in 2009, is presented annually to the most outstanding male and female collegiate track and field athletes in the nation. Freeman was named to the Watch List twice during the 2012 outdoor season. She became the first true freshman to be named to the list since its inception.
Freeman is a returning four-time All-American and earned silver at the NCAA Indoor Championships in the 60 meters a season ago for the highest finish by a Knight at the meet. The 2012 USA Olympic Trials qualifier was also named the USTFCCCA South Region Women's Indoor Track Athlete of the Year.
