The players were joined by three UCF cheerleaders, along with Knightro, and went room-by-room handing out gifts to the patients. It isn't the first time the Knights have recently gone to a children's hospital as they went to Nemours the day after Thanksgiving.

Just to be able to come out here and put a smile on their face and make their day was great, Murray said after the visit. I am very proud that we were chosen as captains to do this.

We realize how fortunate we are when we come her and make a visit like this at a children's hospital. This being my last season and last game, it just meant a lot to me to come out here and make their day better.

It was a neat moment when the Knights were making their rounds and came across former rower, Brittney Kusner. The UCF student-athlete that competed during the 2003-07 seasons was working with one of the patients as a physical therapist and was even sporting her UCF strength and conditioning t-shirt under her scrubs.

On Thursday, UCF will head back to Tropicana Field for its final practice prior to the Beef 'O' Brady's Bowl which will air on ESPN beginning at 7:30 p.m.
