ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFAthletics.com) - The UCF men's basketball team will seek its third-straight win Friday when the Knights face host Old Dominion. Tipoff from the Constant Center in Norfolk, Va., is 7 p.m.
The game is part of a busy stretch for the Knights (5-2), who will be playing the second of four contests in nine days. After meeting the Monarchs, UCF will return to Orlando and host Miami on Tuesday at 8 p.m. at the UCF Arena.
On Wednesday, Keith Clanton scored a career-high 30 points on 14-of-15 shooting in the Knights' victory over visiting Bethune-Cookman. Clanton, who also grabbed 13 boards, had the best shooting performance by a Division I player nationally since 2008.
The Knights shot 61.5 percent against the Wildcats. On the year, the team is third in the country in field goal percentage at 52.0.
The contest will allow UCF's Tristan Spurlock to play in his home state. The junior forward is from Woodbridge, just under three hours away from the Old Dominion campus. The Monarchs are 1-8 in 2012-13.
UCF-Old Dominion will air on the UCF IMG Sports Network and its flagship station, 740 The Game in Orlando. Marc Daniels will have the call from Norfolk and pregame coverage will begin at 6:30 p.m. Audio and statistics will be available at UCFAthletics.com.
