ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFAthletics.com) - News & notes from the UCF football team as it prepares to hold its first practice of the bowl season Wednesday. The Knights will be competing in the Beef `O' Brady's Bowl next Friday, Dec. 21.

News
-UCF senior Quincy McDuffie was named a Sports Illustrated First Team All-American on Tuesday, becoming the first Knight to be a first team All-American since Joe Burnett in 2008.
-The Knights have now had an All-American or freshman All-American every season since 2007.
-The BIG EAST announced Tuesday that UCF will host Connecticut, Houston, Rutgers and USF in the Knights' first year in the league in 2013. They also will travel to Cincinnati, Louisville, SMU and Temple.
-All three schools which shared the BIG EAST title in 2012 are on UCF's schedule next season (Cincinnati, Louisville, Rutgers).

Stat of the Day
-Senior free safety Kemal Ishmael has 17 total tackles and three passes defended (one interception and two break-ups) in two career bowl games as a Knight.

What to Look For
-UCF will practice each day on campus before leaving for St. Petersburg on Tuesday.
