ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFAthletics.com) - Following a competitive fall season in which the team competed against some of the top programs in the country at the Head of the Hooch, head coach Becky Cramer and the UCF rowing team released their 2013 spring schedule on Monday. The slate is highlighted by a home regatta against Villanova the first week of March.

"We could not be more excited to get back out on the water with such a great spring schedule," Cramer said. "We are competing in some events we're very familiar with and also some races we've have not competed in before. We think it's going to be a great season for our program."

After an exhibition race against Michigan in Tampa, Fla., the Knights will once again start their season with the Metro Cup on Saturday, March 2 hosted by Rollins College in Winter Park. UCF will be competing in the Metro Cup for the 16th-consecutive year and has totaled over 40 victories in the event.

UCF returns home on March 9 to host Villanova and Northeastern in their lone home regatta of the season. All home events take place at the UCF Intercollegiate Rowing Center at Lake Pickett.

The Knights will then compete in four-consecutive road regattas against high-end competition including Texas, Alabama, West Virginia, Clemson and Miami.

The Black and Gold will compete in its final C-USA Championships in Oak Ridge, Tenn., on May 18.
