2013 Celebrity Golf Tournament
UPDATED 1/8: Thanks to everyone who signed up for the UCF softball celebrity golf tournament at Rosen Shingle Creek this Friday. Your fundraising efforts have been a great success as we have reached our player capacity for this event and will not be taking any additional registered golfers. ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFAthletics.com) - The UCF softball team will host its second-annual UCF Softball Celebrity Golf Tournament, Friday Jan. 11, at the Shingle Creek Golf Club. All proceeds will go toward the UCF softball program's team costs.
The tournament will feature former Major League Baseball player Johnny Damon as well as other MLB, NFL and local Orlando celebrities. Registration for the event begins at 11 a.m. and a shotgun start will tee off at 12:30 p.m.
Individuals or teams that sign up will get the opportunity to bid for a chance to play with high-profile celebrities in their group. Teams are limited to four players, which can include a celebrity or professional athlete. Individual golfers are $100 each. Teams of four with no professional athlete or local celebrity will cost $380 while teams with an athlete or celebrity will be $600.
After the golf portion of the event, there will be a banquet catered by Bubbalou's Bodacious BBQ at 5:30 p.m. followed by a silent auction and the "Chance to Win" drawing at 6 p.m.
Individuals or groups can also become sponsors of the event by purchasing one of four packages that range from $100 to $2,500.
-Silver package ($100): includes hole signage and a UCF softball autographed team picture.
-Gold package ($500): includes hole signage, dinner and golf for one and a UCF softball autographed team picture.
-Platinum package ($1,000): includes exclusive hole signage, dinner and golf for four and a UCF softball autographed team helmet.
-Diamond package ($2,500): includes exclusive hole signage at hole of choice, banner at the dinner banquet, dinner for four, golf with a team of three golfers and one celebrity or team of four golfers and a UCF softball autographed team helmet.
