ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFAthletics.com) - Kasey Wilson entered UCF's contest at No. 7 Florida struggling with his shot. The sophomore clearly put in work prior to the game in Gainesville as he recorded one of the best performances of his collegiate career against the Gators.

Wilson looked confident shooting the ball on his way to a career-high 20 points Friday. The forward shot 5-of-6 from 3-point range and made some huge triples in the second half when the Knights stayed close to the deep, talented Gators.

Prior to the game in Gainesville, Wilson shot just 2-of-17 overall and 0-of-5 from deep against Savannah State and Middle Tennessee State. Extra work in the gym was a factor in Wilson getting out of the shooting funk, as were timely passes from his teammates against Florida.

"I have been working on my shot, trying to develop more of a knock-down shot," he said. "It has helped because our team is so good at getting into the paint and kicking the ball out. We have a really good passing team, so I feel that they find me when I am open."

After the impressive performance against Florida, Wilson can expect his teammates to keep finding him for shots on the perimeter.
