CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (UCFAthletics.com) - The UCF women's rowing team capped a quality effort at the Head of the Hooch as 10 boats marked A-J competed in the Women's Open 2- race.
In their only event of the day, the Knights saw their A boat record a time of 21:09.4 to take 14th place overall. The lineup of Kayla Thieken and Carly Burleson topped boats from C-USA foe Tulsa (21:10), Tennessee (21:12), Duke (21:15) and Texas (21:37). UCF's D boat was the next highest for the Knights as the lineup of Camille Everett and Kara Johannesen finished the event in 21:22.1.
Sunday's large regatta was the last of the fall campaign, as the Black and Gold will return in the spring for a full slate of events.
