ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFAthletics.com) - The road towards another postseason appearance for the UCF baseball team officially begins in February as the 2013 regular-season schedule was released Friday. The Knights will welcome fans out to the baseball complex for 34 home games beginning on Friday, Feb. 15, against Siena.

Advancing to the Coral Gables Regional Championship Game this past June and notching the most wins since 2004, head coach Terry Rooney's squad will look to make its third-straight postseason appearance with another challenging slate against some of the best teams in the nation.

The Knights will go head-to-head with seven teams that advanced to the NCAA Tournament, including Florida, Florida State, Miami, Rice, East Carolina, UAB and Bethune-Cookman.

Season Ticket Renewals

Starting Friday, Nov. 16, fans will be able to renew their season tickets online in order to guarantee their 2012 seat location again for the 2013 season. There will be several new seating opportunities next season including additional reserved seats in all lower level sections (100-111) and general admission outfield seats.

All accounts that renew by the Nov. 30th deadline will be able to upgrade their seat location (based on availability). Fans who renew their season tickets during this period will receive a special season ticket holder gift and the exclusive opportunity to take batting practice on Jay Bergman Field.

Members of the UCF Baseball Dugout Club will continue to receive complimentary general admission season tickets when signing up for the Home Run or Grand Slam Levels (to upgrade to a reserved seat, call the ticket office at (407) UCF-1000.

Reserve your 2013 UCF Baseball season tickets today with a $25 deposit. Season ticket holders receive benefits such as a discounted pricing, priority points, early seat selection on regular and post season games along with a season-ticket-holder gift.

All season ticket, mini-plan, group and single-game tickets will go on sale to the public on Monday, Jan. 14th, 2013.

Schedule

UCF welcomes in-state foe Florida to the baseball complex right off the bat in 2013 on Tuesday, Feb. 19. The last time the Gators paid a visit to Orlando, the Knights won, 8-6, in front of the largest crowd in school history (3,601). UCF will make a return trip to Gainesville on April 2.

For the first time since 1993, the Knights will host a tournament on campus with the UCF Baseball Tournament on Feb. 22-24 when UConn, Texas Tech and Troy make their way to Orlando. Other noteworthy opponents on the 2013 home slate include USF (Feb. 26), UNF (March 5), Jacksonville (March 8-9) and Florida Atlantic (April 16).

On the road in 2013, the Knights will also take on FSU in Tallahassee May 3-5 in a key late-season nonconference matchup. UCF will also travel to Miami (March 6), Bethune-Cookman, JU, USF and FAU.

In its final season in Conference USA, UCF will host Southern Miss, Marshall, Houston and Tulane while venturing to UAB, Memphis and Rice before ending the regular season at East Carolina. The Knights will be aiming for their first league title after finishing second to the Owls in 2012.
