ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFAthletics.com) - After notching its first victory of the season Wednesday night against North Florida, the UCF women's basketball team will take its show on the road as it travels to TCU Friday night at 8 p.m. ET. This will be the first trip to Fort Worth, Texas, for the Knights (1-2) in program history.

The Horned Frogs (0-1) enter Friday night's contest in search of their first win of the year after Charlotte knocked them off, 82-68, at Daniel-Meyer Coliseum Tuesday night.

UCF continues to be led in scoring by sharp-shooting freshman Briahanna Jackson. The rookie from Tampa dropped 19 points, her season average through three games, in the victory over UNF, and single-handedly outscored the Ospreys in the first half, 17-11.

The trip to Fort Worth will give senior guard Gevenia Carter another chance to visit her home state. The Houston native ranks third on the team in scoring, has dished out a team-leading eight assists and ranks second on the squad with nine steals.

After the Knights and Horned Frogs tangle on the hardwood, UCF will venture south of the border for the Hardwood Tournament of Hope in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. The Knights will partake in three contests, including a matchup with future BIG EAST opponent Louisville next Tuesday.

As always, the game can be heard on UCFAthletics.com for free with Scott Adams calling all of the action.
