ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFAthletics.com) - Redshirt sophomore setter Marie Reiterova was named the Conference USA Setter of the Week by the league office on Monday afternoon. Reiterova totaled 90 assists, 14 digs and four blocks over the weekend as the Knights swept their final weekend series against UAB and Memphis.

This award is the third of the season for Reiterova as she took home back-to-back honors Oct. 22 and 29. It also marks the 15th time a member of the program has been honored with a weekly award by C-USA since joining the conference in 2005. Reiterova joins Rachel Vukson in 2011 as the only two players in school history to earn three player of the week honors in one season.

Marie is doing such a fantastic job of finding the open hitters, especially in critical situations, head coach Todd Dagenais said. We are now in a position where teams can't key on any one player because Marie is finding ways to keep a really nice balance in our offense. I think the greatest evidence is that DeLaina Sarden put up National Player of the week type numbers hitting over .700 on the weekend.

Reiterova's steady hand offensively helped guide the Knights to a pair of victories that gave them the No. 3 seed in the upcoming C-USA tournament. For the weekend, Reiterova averaged an impressive 12.86 assists per set against the Blazers and Tigers.

UCF capped its most successful regular season in its seven years in C-USA by finishing 11-5 in league play. Reiterova and the rest of the Knights will look to extend their season when they play Marshall in the quarterfinals of the C-USA tournament on Friday at 7 p.m.
