ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFAthletics.com) - The fourth and final event of the fall season comes to a close this weekend when the UCF women's tennis team travels to Tampa for the Florida State Championships Friday-Sunday. The event is being hosted by South Florida.
As a team, the Black and Gold owns a 40-21 singles record, led by freshman Caroline Eberhart who is 7-1 this season. Josephine Haraldson (6-2), Jenna Doerfler (5-3) and Courtney Griffith (5-3) also have at least five singles victories in the fall.
Over on the doubles courts, Haraldson and partner Genevieve Lorbergs lead the team with five victories, as the Knights have a 14-11 doubles record overall.
Following this weekend's action, UCF will look forward to its spring schedule, which kicks off Jan. 19-21with the UCF Invitational. The dual-match campaign opens Jan. 25 against Bethune-Cookman.
