ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFAthletics.com) - UCF will take a break from the Conference USA portion of its schedule Wednesday when the Knights host local rival Stetson at 7 p.m. at the UCF Soccer Complex. The contest will serve as the Knights' final regular-season non-league match of 2012.
UCF has won two of its last three matches, including a 1-0 victory over visiting FIU last Wednesday. The Knights (4-4-2) have four home games remaining this season.
This year, UCF has done most of its scoring in the second half. Fourteen of the team's 17 goals have come after intermission. In Sunday's 2-1 C-USA loss at South Carolina, Andrew Quintana got the Knights on the board in the 61st minute.
Stetson is 2-5-0 in 2012. The Hatters have played just three home matches this season.
UCF and Stetson met last season in DeLand and settled for a 1-1 draw. UCF has a 29-9-2 advantage in the all-time series.
Season tickets, which include a complimentary UCF soccer scarf, are still available for only $15 by calling (407) UCF-1000 or by visiting UCFAthletics.com.
Tickets for the game will be available Wednesday outside the UCF Soccer Complex. All UCF students are admitted free with a valid school ID. Live statistics and video will be available at UCFAthletics.com.
