ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFAthletics.com) - Nearing the end of the regular season, the UCF men's soccer team will face host Kentucky for a key Conference USA contest Wednesday. The match from the UK Soccer Complex in Lexington will begin at 7 p.m.

Kentucky (9-6-1, 4-1-1 C-USA) is second in the league standings, while UCF (6-6-3, 3-3-0) is fifth. The top-six squads qualify for the C-USA Championship, which starts Nov. 7 in Birmingham, Ala.

The contest at Kentucky will serve as UCF's second-to-last regular season game. The Knights will conclude the regular season Saturday at Marshall.

The Knights have been led of late by forwards Deshorn Brown and Omar Vallejo. Last week against Memphis and UAB, Brown scored five goals and recorded 11 points. On Saturday against UAB, he tallied a pair of goals. Brown was named the C-USA Offensive Player of the Week Monday. Vallejo was responsible for seven points last week. He tallied the game-winning goal last Wednesday in double-overtime against Memphis.

Kentucky is coming off of an impressive 2-0 win at No. 23 Tulsa Saturday. The Wildcats have won four-straight matches and are garnering votes in the CollegeSoccerNews.com Top-30 National Poll.

A year ago, UCF and Kentucky meet in Orlando for an exciting contest. Behind an overtime goal from Warren Creavalle, the host Knights posted a 2-1 win over the No. 21 Wildcats. McKauly Tulloch added a goal in the victory.

UCF will be looking for its first win at Kentucky. The Knights are 0-2-1 in Lexington.
