ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFAthletics.com) - During Saturday's Homecoming game vs. SMU at 7 p.m., UCF will honor one of its own throughout the evening. The Knights will be wearing an "RP" sticker on their helmets to recognize Robert Pritchard, a former defensive lineman from 2008-11 who suffered a rare and massive stroke on July 9, 2012.
Medical bills for the Pritchard family have climbed up to $300,000, and fans can do their part to help a UCF family in need. Pritchard, who is unable to fly yet due to doctors' orders, is scheduled to drive down with his family from Atlanta for the game, and will be honored at halftime. Eventually, he is hoping to return to UCF so he can complete his graduate studies.
