ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFAthletics.com) - After scoring five goals and recording an assist for 11 points in two matches, Deshorn Brown of the UCF men's soccer team was selected as the Conference USA Offensive Player of the Week Monday. The junior, who leads C-USA with 29 points and 13 goals this year, picked up his first offensive player of the week award.

Brown started the week with a hat trick in a 4-3 double-overtime win over Memphis, even though he did not play in the first half due to an injury. His second and third goals of the night allowed the Knights to tie the match after falling behind 3-1. In the 100th minute, Brown assisted on Omar Vallejo's game-winning goal.

He followed that performance with a pair of goals against UAB. A native of Jamaica, Brown is in his first year at UCF after transferring from the University of Mobile.

Brown and the Knights have two regular-season matches remaining, starting with a contest Wednesday at Kentucky.
