ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFAthletics.com) - The UCF men's soccer team is back in Orlando for its final two home matches this season. The Knights will open the homestand Wednesday when they host Memphis at 7 p.m. at the UCF Soccer Complex.
UCF will play its 2012 home finale on Saturday evening against UAB.
The Knights (5-5-3, 2-2-0 Conference USA) have played two-straight ranked opponents. In their last home contest, head coach Bryan Cunningham's team posted a 1-0 win over No. 17 SMU on Oct. 14. Steven Lamberta recorded the game-winning goal against the Mustangs as the Knights posted their fourth shutout of the year.
Memphis is 5-5-3 overall and 1-1-2 in league play. The Tigers defeated host South Carolina, 2-1, over the weekend. The team is led by Mark Sherrod, who leads C-USA with 66 shots this season. He has eight goals in 2012.
The UCF soccer scarf can still be purchased for $15 by calling the UCF Athletics ticket office at (407) UCF-1000. On Wednesday, tickets to the UCF-Memphis contest can be purchased outside of the soccer complex. All UCF students are admitted free with a valid school ID.
