Knights Compete at ITA Regionals

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (UCFAthletics.com) - Four members of the UCF men's tennis team were in action Friday at the ITA Regionals on the Florida State campus. The event was fourth of the Knights this fall.

In the doubles main draw, Mario Samson and Pedro Wagner nearly topped Omar Aly and Mark Schanerman of Miami, but the Hurricances held on for an 8-6 victory.

Three Knights competed in the singles main draw. Jorge Blasco went up early against Georgia State's Robert Schulze, but fell 2-6, 6-4, 6-4. Benjamin Lock of Florida State got past Amar Hromic, 6-1, 6-2. Wagner faced Didrik Berg of Stetson. Berg posted a 6-4, 6-3 victory.

UCF will conclude its fall at the Disney Collegiate Tournament in Lake Buena Vista in early November.
