Knights 16th After Two Rounds at UNC

ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFAthletics.com) - The UCF women's golf team sits in 16th place at the Ruth's Chris Tar Heel Invitational at the Finley Golf Course in Chapel Hill, N.C. after Saturday's second round. The Knights carded a team score of 314 Saturday to go with Friday's first round score of 307. UCF's two-round total of 621 is 45-over par.

Leading the way for the Knights after two rounds are Robyn Doig and Carolin Pinegger. Both UCF golfers are currently tied for 48th place with two-round scores of 154 (+10). Doig shot a 75 (+3) Friday and a 79 (+7) Saturday. Pinegger has carded back-to-back rounds of 77 (+5).

Kaitlyn Price shot a 78 (+6) Saturday to go with her 77 (+5) on Friday, leaving her tied for 55th place and sitting at 11-over. Paola Robles wrapped up the Knights' scoring in the first two rounds. She shot an 80 (+8) Saturday after recording a score of 78 (+6) Friday to sit at 14-over and in 79th place.

Mary Mulcahy is playing as an individual and is currently 18-over. She shaved six strokes off her first-round score of 84 to card a 78 (+6) Saturday. Monifa Sealy is also competing for the Knights. Her 82 (+10) Saturday leaves her in a tie for 87th place and at 18-over for the tournament.

The host team - North Carolina - leads the 18-team event by 10 strokes over Baylor. The Tar Heels are sitting at 5-over for the tournament, while the Bears are +15.

The third and final round is slated to begin Sunday morning.
