ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFAthletics.com) - The UCF women's golf team will take part in the Ruth's Chris Tar Heel Invitational this weekend at the Finley Golf Course in Chapel Hill, N.C.

It will be the third of four fall tournaments for the Knights and according to head coach Emily Marron will be the third straight tournament with stiff competition.

The Tar Heel Invite is another very competitive event for us, with a really strong field, Marron said. We will be up against some of the best teams in the country for the third straight week and the girls have been working hard to be prepared.

Marron has been happy with some performances of individual members of her squad so far this season. But she says the team is looking to put it all together at the same time.

We have seen good numbers from each girl separately, Marron said. Once they get it going all on the same day some great things can happen for us.

Knights with that opportunity this week include Robyn Doig, Monifa Sealy, Kaitlyn Price, Paola Robles and Carolin Pinegger. In addition to that group, Mary Mulcahy will be competing as an individual in the Tar Heel Invitational.

The three-day, 54-hole tournament begins Friday.
