ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFAthletics.com) - The UCF women's golf team moved up one spot in the standings in each of the last two rounds at the Windy City Invitational, hosted by Northwestern at the Glen View Golf Club outside of Chicago. The Knights were 13th after the first round, 12th after the second and finished in 11th place.
UCF finished the tournament 46-over par after carding scores of 304-304-302 for a total of 907. Arizona won the team title at 15-over (293-289-297-879). Washington and Northwestern rounded out the top three teams.
Robyn Doig paced the Knights with a 10-over score of 226 for her three rounds. Doig's total was good enough for 30th place in the tournament. Monifa Sealy was right behind in a tie for 34th place at 11-over with scores of 72-78-77. The Knights' other three players - Paola Robles, Carolin Pinegger and Kaitlyn Price -- were all tied for 43rd and finished 14-over.
UCF will be back in action again Oct. 12-14 at the Tar Heel Invitational in Chapel Hill, N.C.
