ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFAthletics.com) - The UCF men's golf team held its qualifying rounds for the Northern Intercollegiate, which is slated to begin Saturday in Sugar Grove, Ill.
Greg Eason, Ricardo Gouveia, Kyle Wilshire, Jose Joia and Michael Visacki will compete for UCF. The Knights held four rounds of qualifying for the Northern Intercollegiate, all at Northshore.

Exemptions
Ricardo Gouveia - Granted an exemption into the Northern Intercollegiate based on the following achievements: 2011-12 PING Honorable All-American, team-best World Amateur ranking (41st) , 2011-12 team-best Golfstat ranking (51st), 2011-12 team-best Golfweek ranking (50th), Top-16 finish at the 2012 British Amateur, Top-8 finish at the 2012 US Amateur, Top-10 finish at the 2012 European Men's Challenge Trophy, and 2011-12 team-best scoring average (71.62). Ricardo has also been given an exemption into the Isleworth Collegiate Invitational due to missing the Jack Nicklaus Invitational to play on behalf of Portugal in the 2012 World Amateur and for receiving a sponsor's exemption into the Portugal Masters on the European Tour (in addition to those qualifications previously mentioned above).

Kyle Wilshire - Finished T-2nd in the qualifier for the Northern Intercollegiate (second among non-exempt players) with a 4 round total of 277 (-11)
Jose Joia - Finished 4th in the qualifier for the Northern Intercollegiate (third among non-exempt players) with a 4 round total of 279 (-9)
Michael Visacki - Finished 5th in the qualifier for the Northern Intercollegiate (fourth among non-exempt players) with a 4 round total of 280 (-8)
