FORT MYERS, Fla. (UCFAthletics.com) - The UCF men's tennis team continued play at the FGCU Fall Invitational on Saturday. The Knights were unable to advance any singles or doubles players into the winner's bracket on Sunday.
The FGCU Fall Invitational is serving as UCF's second-of-four events of the fall.
Senior Jorge Blasco was unable to get past FAU's Will Neuner in the quarterfinals this afternoon, falling, 6-2, 6-3. Also trying to make it into the semis was freshman Pedro Wagner, but his bid fell short after FGCU's Jordi Vives knocked him off, 6-4, 6-2.
In doubles action, the duo of Wagner and Francesc Aulina fell to Bao and Lvosky of FGCU, 8-5, in the semifinals. Matthew Gladstone and Juan Bolona were also unable to advance to Sunday's championship round as the pairing of Vivas and Alfonzo of Barry topped them, 8-4.
In the singles backdraw, Bolona was able to clinch a 6-3, 6-2 win over Miami's Mark Schanerman.
