ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFAthletics.com) - The UCF men's golf team wrapped up its first meet of the 2012-13 season Sunday at the Northern Intercollegiate at Rich Harvest Farms in Sugar Grove, Ill. The Knights finished in a tie for fifth place. Indiana took the team title with a three-round total of 888 (+36).

UCF carded scores of 301-312-301-914 (+62). St. Mary's, Liberty and Purdue were second through fourth, respectively. The Knights tied with Virginia, while Ball State, Michigan State, Iowa State, Augusta State and Northern Illinois rounded out the field.

The Knights were led by Greg Eason, who finished tied for 11th with a final tally of 224 (72-77-75, +11). Michael Visacki was tied for 13th place after carding a three-round score of 225 (77-76-72, +12). Jose Joia turned in a total of 230 (75-80-75, +17) to finish 24th. Kyle Wilshire (77-79-79-235, +22) rounded out UCF's scoring and finished in a tie for 32nd.

UCF is in action again Sept. 17-18 at the Adams Cup in Newport, R.I.
