UCF Announces Exciting Promotions for the 2012 Football Season

ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFAthletics.com) - Starting with Family Weekend Sept. 14-16, there will be a lot in store for fans during the 2012 UCF football season. That includes the annual Homecoming Game Saturday, Nov. 3, against SMU at 7 p.m.

For ticket information, contact the UCF Ticket Office at (407) UCF-1000 or visit UCFAthletics.com. Season tickets are as low as $140, while single-game tickets and flex plans are also on sale.

2012 UCF Football Promotions
Sept. 15 vs. FIU - Kickoff 4 p.m. - Home Opener - Presented by Florida Blue
-Family Weekend - The UCF Alumni Association will host an event Friday, as well as an open house with a scavenger hunt Saturday morning. There also will be an indoor tailgate at Fairwinds Alumni Center, and the UCF Foundation hosts a large tailgate on Memory Mall.

-Knights for Youth Day - Inflatables will be set up at IOA Plaza west of Bright House Networks Stadium, while the spirit squad and Knightro will be on hand. Face painting, bean bag toss and other activities will take place as well.

-Knights for Scouts Day - Tickets for scouts, their families and adult chaperones will include access to the Knights for Youth Kid Zone located in IOA plaza prior to kick off, complete with a sports clinic, free pizza for the first 250 kids, inflatable bounce houses, games and more.

Sept. 29 vs. Missouri - Kickoff TBA - First Home Game vs. SEC Opponent
-Military Appreciation Day - Local veterans, active duty and their families are welcome to experience in-game and on-field recognition.

-Social Media Day - Like the UCF Athletics Facebook page for an opportunity to win Missouri tickets, and also use the #BeatMizzou hashtag on Twitter to help spread the word about UCF's first home game against an SEC school.

Oct. 4 vs. East Carolina - Kickoff 8 p.m. - C-USA Opener - Thursday Night - Presented by Florida Hospital
-Knights for Pink - UCFAA, in cooperation with game sponsor Florida Hospital, selected the first game of October to increase awareness and support for breast cancer research. Also involved is the Susan G. Komen Foundation. This year's Race for the Cure will take place Oct. 21 on the UCF campus, and signing up will give runners the chance to purchase tickets for the Oct. 4 game against ECU for just $20. Two dollars of each ticket purchased is donated to a local breast cancer research organization or charity.

-UCF Student Day - Classes will end at noon for this Thursday rumble with ECU. Single-game admission for all UCF students is free with a valid ID card. Free tickets are distributed to UCF Connect campuses the week before the event.

-UCF Faculty & Staff Appreciation Day - All UCF faculty and staff qualify for this promotion, which consists of a 20% discount off the single-game price. A pregame tailgate party for faculty and staff who purchase the discounted ticket or are season ticket holders is hosted at IOA Plaza beginning three hours prior to kickoff.

Oct. 13 vs. Southern Miss - Kickoff 8 p.m.
-Hispanic Heritage Day - Ticket packages are available for $25 which include: a ticket to the game, the men's soccer game vs. Charlotte on Sept. 26, the women's soccer game on Oct. 7, a baseball voucher good for a select game (TBD) and a limited edition Los Knights t-shirt. This will be a true UCF fiesta with salsa dancers, traditional Hispanic food, raffle prizes and giveaways. Estrella TV and Rumba radio will be on-site for all of the festivities.

Nov. 3 vs. SMU - Kickoff 7 p.m. - Presented by Lowe's Home Improvement
-Homecoming - The annual Homecoming Game will take place against the Mustangs, with one of the most popular traditions in the country, Spirit Splash, set for Nov. 2. The theme for this year's Homecoming has yet to be released.

-Youth Football Day - Participants (youth team coaches, players and guests of the participating your teams), receive tickets through membership of local organizations, and they are available in advance by contacting the UCF Ticket Office.

Nov. 24 vs. UAB - Kickoff TBA - Presented by The UCF College of Medicine
-Fan Appreciation Day - Fans in attendance at the last home game will be eligible for a plethora of giveaways and drawings and be recognized for their support over the course of the season.

-Group Leader & Trade Partner Appreciation Day - All invitees receive two complimentary game tickets and two complimentary tailgate admissions. Game tickets are redeemed at the tailgate party, which takes place at IOA Plaza.

-Orlando College Day - With a valid college student ID, students receive one complimentary ticket, which are distributed on the respective local colleges' campus in early November. The first 500 students at each school receive a free ticket, sit in the UCF student section, wear Black & Gold, enjoy Orlando's only college football team, the chance to buy student-specific merchandise and experience the regular-season home finale.
