ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFAthletics.com) - UCF men's soccer junior McKauly Tulloch has earned preseason All-America third team honors from College Soccer News. The forward scored 15 goals a year ago, helping the Knights reach the second round of the NCAA Championship.
In 2011, his first season with the Knights after transferring from Akron, Tulloch was selected to the NSCAA All-South Region Second Team and the All-Conference USA Third Team after recording 34 points. He ranked fourth nationally in goals per game (0.88) and fifth in the country in points per game (2.00). His 15 goals ranked ninth on the UCF single-season register.
A native of Jamaica, Tulloch attempted 63 shots, with 35 coming on goal. Six of his scores were game-winning goals.
Earlier this month, Tulloch was named to the C-USA Preseason All-Conference Team.
The Knights, who are currently ranked 26th nationally by TopDrawerSoccer.com and 30th by College Soccer News, will open the regular season on Friday at Florida Atlantic. UCF will make its home debut on Sept. 1 versus Old Dominion.
Season tickets, which include a savings off of the single-game ticket price, are $30 and include a commemorative UCF soccer scarf.
