DALLAS, Texas (UCFAthletics.com) - A large contingent of media swarmed on Dallas Wednesday for Conference USA Media Day at the DFW Marriott Hotel. Assistant head coach Brent Key and senior running back Latavius Murray were on hand and met with television networks and print media throughout the day.
After a little breakfast, the East Division coaches and players traveled to FOX Sports Southwest studios. Key and Murray first conducted an interview with CBS Sports Network play-by-play voice Dave Ryan. The network is scheduled to broadcast four UCF games in 2012, beginning with the C-USA opener against East Carolina Thursday, Oct. 4, at Bright House Networks Stadium.
Up next was a session with Chuck Oliver and CSS, as that crew will televise the Knights' home opener vs. FIU Sept. 15 as well as the journey to Memphis, Oct. 20. Meanwhile, C-USA put Key and Murray in front of a green screen nearby, before UCF met with FSN for a live online video stream.
With the first half of the day completed, C-USA and the DFW Marriott provided salad, pasta with alfredo sauce, green beans, lasagna, red potatoes and creamy chicken along with fancy desserts at lunchtime. That set up a round-table interview forum at the hotel, as the East and West Division programs traded places.
