ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFAthletics.com) - UCF fans can start making their final plans for this year's home opener against FIU Sept. 15 as Conference USA announced two more game times Tuesday. The Knights will host the Panthers at 4 p.m. in the first 2012 home game at Bright House Networks Stadium, while UCF's clash at Memphis Oct. 20 will get underway at 8 p.m. ET.
Remaining game times against Missouri Sept. 29, at Tulsa Nov. 17 and vs. UAB Nov. 24 are currently slated to be announced approximately 12 days prior to the game.
UCF opens the 2012 campaign with road games at Akron Aug. 30 and at Ohio State Sept. 8. The Panthers then visit the UCF campus for the first time a year after FIU edged the Black and Gold in last season's meeting in Miami, 17-10. FIU went 8-5 in 2011 to earn a berth in the Beef `O' Brady's Bowl where it fell to Marshall, 20-10.
The contest against the Panthers serves as the start of a four-game homestand for the Knights, who also entertain Missouri, East Carolina and Southern Miss during that stretch.
Following the longest homestand since 1999, UCF travels to the Liberty Bowl to clash with Memphis. The Knights own a seven-game winning streak vs. the Tigers, and lead the all-time series 7-1. The last time UCF visited the city of Memphis, it toppled Georgia, 10-6, in the 2010 AutoZone Liberty Bowl.
