ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFAthletics.com) - UCF freshman Octavious Freeman has been selected to represent the United States at the NACAC U-23 Championships in Mexico in July. The event is set for July 6-8 in Guanajuato, Mexico, and will feature the top young athletes from North American, Central American and Caribbean nations.

A pair of Knights - Aurieyall Scott and Sonnisha Williams - are alternates for the United States.

All three UCF student-athletes are slated to participate in the U.S. Olympic Trials, which start Friday in Eugene, Ore. Freeman, who earned a pair of All-America first team honors during the outdoor season, will compete in the 100m alongside Scott. Williams is slated to participate in the long jump.
