Jeff Michaud Joins Men's Soccer Recruiting Class

ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFAthletics.com) - One of the top prep players in Florida will suit up for the Knights starting this August as Jeff Michaud has joined the UCF men's soccer recruiting class, head coach Bryan Cunningham announced Tuesday. A midfielder, Michaud starred at Dwyer High School in West Palm Beach.

As a senior, Michaud was selected to the South Florida Sun-Sentinel All-Palm Beach County First Team after scoring 31 goals with 15 assists in only 15 games. In only a half of a playoff game against Palm Beach Central, he had three goals and an assist.

"Jeff is one of the top players in Florida. We are thrilled that he is coming to join us," Cunningham said. "He can play anywhere across the midfield. He is a very hard working player with a great knowledge of the game. We anticipate that he will come in and contribute right away."

Following his senior season, Michaud competed in the Florida Athletic All-Star Classic in Tampa. As a junior at Dwyer, he earned Palm Beach Post All-Area First Team honors after totaling 17 goals and eight assists.

Michaud adds to a recruiting class that also featuers transfers DeShorn Brown (University of Mobile), Anton Sealey (North Carolina), Omar Vallejo (Ohio State) and Gabriel Zapponi (Northeastern Oklahoma A&M) and incoming freshmen Zach Biggs (Weston, Fla.), Mason Miller (Dallas, Texas), Michael Russo (McLean, Va.) and Romario Williams (Portmore, Jamaica).
