ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFAthletics.com) - After wrapping up second place in the regular season of Conference USA play, the UCF baseball team remained in the top 20 of all four major polls Monday.

The Knights (41-14, 16-8), who finished league play with a program-record 16 wins, topped out at No. 16 in the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association poll.

Monday also saw UCF land at No. 19 in the latest Baseball America rankings. The Knights have appeared in each Baseball America poll since its No. 21 preseason ranking and joins Rice (No. 4) as the only two teams in Conference USA to appear in the standings.

At No. 16 a week ago, UCF slipped to No. 17 in the USA Today/ESPN Top 25 Coaches' Poll and was also slotted at No. 19 in the Collegiate Baseball Newspaper rankings.

On the season, the Knights own the nation's best winning percentage on the road (15-3, 83.3%) and finished 10-2 as the visitors in C-USA, the best road mark in the league since 2008.

UCF is currently in Pearl, Miss., preparing for the C-USA Tournament at Trustmark Park. The Knights, who will be the No. 2 seed, take on UAB at noon on Thursday, East Carolina at 4 p.m. on Friday and Tulane at noon on Saturday. Should UCF finish with the best record in its pod, it will take on the top team from the other pod Sunday at 2 p.m. for the tournament title.

All the action will air live on 740-AM The Game and can be streamed on ConferenceUSA.com. The championship game will be broadcast on CBS Sports Network.
