PHILADELPHIA, Pa. (UCFAthletics.com) - Two noteworthy performances highlighted day two of the Penn Relays for the No. 18 UCF track and field team on Friday.

Senior Jackie Coward advanced to the Championship of America 100 hurdles finals with the second-fastest qualifying time of the day. She won her heat with a wind-aided time of 13.25 (+2.7), just .01 shy of the quickest time in the event.

Dominique Booker, Octavious Freeman, Aurieyall Scott and Sheila Paul placed third in the Championship of America 4x100 relay with a time of 44.26. The performance marked the fourth time this season that UCF produced a time within the NCAA's top 20.

Booker, Freeman and Paul also competed in the 4x200 along with freshman Christal Peterson swapping for Scott in the third leg. The Knights paced the majority of their race and looked primed to run away with the heat, but Peterson could not cleanly hand off the baton to Paul within the zone. Consequently, the team was disqualified.

Senior Tomika Story represented the Knights in the triple jump college finals and finished sixth with a wind-aided mark of 12.26m/40-2.75.

The Knights will resume action Saturday at 3:15 p.m. with the Championship of America 100 hurdles finals. Meanwhile, official results from UCF's throws and pole vault crew at the Memphis Invitational will be available Saturday after the conclusion of the meet.
