ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFAthletics.com) - Individual honors are rolling in for a pair of future Knights. Staphon Blair and Matt Williams, two Sunshine State talents, have been garnering plenty of accolades following their senior seasons.
Blair, a post player from Dillard High School in Fort Lauderdale, was recently selected to the SourceHoops Florida Class 5A All-State First Team. In South Florida, Blair was named to the Sun-Sentinel All-Broward First Team and the Miami Herald All-Broward Second Team. In 2011-12, he averaged 14 points, 14 rebounds and 4.5 blocks per game.
A local product from Orlando's Jones High School, Williams earned a spot on the Florida Athletic Coaches Association Class 4A First Team and the SourceHoops Florida Class 4A All-State Second Team. The guard also received All-Central Florida Second Team honors from the Orlando Sentinel. Jones averaged 17 points and eight rebounds as a senior.
Blair and Williams will join fellow recruit Dylan Karell (North Miami Beach, Fla./Dr. Krop) at UCF this fall.
