ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFAthletics.com) - The UCF men's tennis program has added to its impressive recruiting class as three-time Sweden national champion Amar Hromic has signed a National Letter of Intent to join the Knights next fall. Hromic joins William Kwok and Pedro Wagner in head coach Bobby Cashman's talented recruiting class.
Hromic, who has represented Sweden in European championships, has advanced to the finals at three International Tennis Federation events and has claimed four ITF doubles titles. In 2011, he was named the player of the year in Gothenburg.
"Amar is a hard working player who is hungry to get better. He has a pro-style game with a big serve and forehand. He is eager to help move our program to the next level and has the ability to be a huge part of our future success," Cashman said.
Hromic, as well as Kwok and Wagner, will compete for the Knights starting in the fall. Kwok, who resides in Bradenton, Fla., has been ranked among the top junior players in the world by the ITF. A native of Brazil, Wagner is one of the premier junior players in South America.
