UCF Women's Tennis Prepares for Trip to Texas

ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFAthletics.com) - Leaving the comforts of home, the UCF women's tennis team travels out to Dallas, Texas, to face both North Texas and SMU on Saturday and Sunday, respectively. The Knights (7-9) have won three-straight contests as they make an effort to gain even more traction before the regular season draws to a close.

During UCF's winning streak, the Knights have defeated Harvard, West Virginia and Stetson.

The University of North Texas (11-6) is ranked No. 67 in the latest Campbell's ITA standings. The Mean Green have reached as high as the 53rd spot in the 2012 season. The match will be held at North Texas' Waranch Tennis Complex. Admission to the match is free.

SMU (1-12) is led by Edyta Cieplucha, who holds an impressive record of 9-3 at the No. 1 singles position and is 15-6 overall. Cieplucha is ranked in the top 55 of the Campbell's ITA single standings, holding the 52nd spot and headlining the Mustangs' squad.

The Knights close out the season back in Orlando on Saturday, April 14, against Florida Atlantic. The match will be held at the UCF Tennis Complex with the start time of 10 a.m. Admission to the match is free.
