ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFAthletics.com) - The UCF men's tennis team fell to Penn State, 5-2, Wednesday afternoon at the UCF Tennis Complex. Penn State won the doubles point and then claimed four of six singles contests.

The Nittany Lions recorded their sixth-consecutive win and improved to 9-2 with the victory.

The contest was the third of an eight-match homestand for the Knights (4-7).

Penn State won at the No. 1 and No. 2 doubles spots to begin the match, but the Knights were victorious at No. 3 where Juan Bolona and Matthew Gladstone topped Chris Young and C.J. Griffin.

In singles, the Knights picked up wins at No. 2 and No. 6. Facing Griffin at No. 6, Joe Delinks eased to a 6-2, 6-1 victory. Erik Brunskog was victorious at No. 2, holding off Thomas Hanzlink (6-7, 7-5, 10-6).

"It was a tough battle," UCF head coach Bobby Cashman said. "We had some chances, but didn't capitalize."

UCF will return to action Sunday, hosting Army at 11 a.m.
