ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFAlthetics.com) - After finishing tied for 15th at the SunTrust Gator Women's Invitational, UCF junior Carolin Pinegger has been named the Conference USA Women's Golfer of the Week. Last weekend's tournament in Gainesville gave Pinegger her fifth top-20 finish this year.
She led the Knights at 9-over 219 and helped UCF finish 12th at the event. The tournament included 26 ranked golfers and 13 top-50 squads.
Pinegger led the Knights with an even-par 70 on the second day and a 73 on the last day to wrap up play with the 219. This is Pinegger's first C-USA Golfer of the Week honor of the season and second for her career.
