Women's Golf Travels to Weekend Tournament in Gainesville

ORLANDO, Fla., (UCFAthletics.com) - The No. 36 UCF women's golf team will head up to Gainesville to compete in the SunTrust Gator Women's Invitational this weekend. The three-day tournament will be played on the 6,002-yard Mark Bostick Golf Course at Florida. Play begins at 8:50 a.m. Friday morning with 18 holes. The final round is a shotgun start beginning at 8:30 Sunday morning.

The field of 17 will include six top-25 teams on the par 70 course with No. 2 Alabama, No. 4 Auburn, No. 10 Georgia, No. 11 Duke, No. 14 Baylor and No. 23 Florida.

The Black and Gold will be led by No. 1 Monifa Sealy (Glencoe, Trinidad and Tobago), No. 2 Carolin Pinegger (Marquartstein, Germany), No. 3 Kaitlyn Price (Jacksonville Beach, Fla.), No. 4 Katie Mitchell (Fernandina Beach, Fla.), and No. 5 Robyn Doig (Seaforth, Ontario).

Last year at the SunTrust Gator Invitational, sophomore Kaitlyn Price (Jacksonville Beach, Fla.) tied for seventh overall recording her first career top- 10 finish.

In their last tournament, the No. 36 Knights placed fourth overall at the Darius Rucker Intercollegiate with 28-over 598. Sealy finished 5-over 147 tying for 12th overall.
