ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFAthletics.com) - UCF is ready to continue its nine-match homestand as the women's tennis team hosts No. 73 Iowa and Harvard this weekend.

UCF currently holds a record of 4-8 on the year. The Black and Gold is 1-1 in its last two matches, getting a win over Michigan State 5-2 to start the month of March. More recently, the Knights dropped a match to No. 3 Duke. That contest marked UCF's fourth opponent ranked in the top 10 of the ITA rankings in the 2012 season.

Head coach Stephanie Nickitas spoke on the schedule and how the Knights are turning their play around as of late.

"It has been a rough schedule so far," Nickitas said. "But that's good for our team. It gives us valuable experience, which showed against Michigan State. We were really hitting our marks."

The Iowa match begins at 2 p.m. on Friday. The Hawkeyes are led by Sonja Molnar, who holds a record of 7-3 in singles matches so far in 2012. Iowa most recently fell to No. 30 Tulsa 7-0 at the Nebraska Tennis Center in Lincoln, Neb. The two teams will square off for the first time in program history.

The second match of the weekend against Harvard begins at 11 a.m. on Sunday. The Crimson are led by junior Jania Camille. The Scarborough, Maine, native has a perfect 5-0 record in singles play this season, giving Harvard a real threat at the No. 2 and 3 positions.

Come out to watch the Knights at the UCF Tennis Complex, located next to the Recreation and Wellness Center. Admission to the complex is free.
