ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFAthletics.com) - Former UCF men's soccer standout goalkeeper Sean Johnson helped the United States U-23 National Team defeat Mexico, 2-0, during an international friendly Wednesday in Frisco, Texas. Johnson played the second 45 minutes in the victory.

Earlier in the year, Johnson played in the second half of the senior team's 1-0 win over Panama. Against Mexico, Johnson was tested in the 62nd minute, reacting well for a save against Ricardo Mier, who headed the ball toward the net off of a Javier Aquino corner kick.

Johnson played at UCF from 2007-08 under head coach Bryan Cunningham. He is currently a member of the Chicago Fire in the MLS.
