ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFAthletics.com) - The UCF men's tennis team is set to host its third-consecutive match at the UCF Tennis Complex this Sunday, as Georgia Southern comes to town. The match is scheduled to begin at 1:30 p.m. and is the second part of a doubleheader that begins at 10 a.m. as the UCF women's tennis team hosts Tulane. Admission to both events is free for all spectators.

The Knights (1-1) are coming off last weekend's defeat of Jacksonville, in which they held the Dolphins to just one point. In the 6-1 triumph, Jorge Blasco (Alicante, Spain), Joe Delinks (Falmouth, Mass.) and Juan Bolona (Miami, Fla.) each won their matches in just two sets.

Mario Samson (Miami, Fla.) has quietly gotten off to a hot start this season. Competing in both doubles and singles, Samson has yet been defeated. In an impressive 6-7, 7-5, 10-8 win over Wake Forest's Adam Lee Jan. 22, Samson showed great ability as a competitor playing from the No. 4 position for the Knights. In his latest singles battle, Samson defeated Jacksonville's Larry Condez 3-6, 6-1, 6-2.

For visiting Georgia Southern, head coach Nick Zieziula returns to the UCF campus for a homecoming of sorts. Zieziula served as the UCF men's tennis assistant coach for two years before accepting the job at Georgia Southern where he became the program's eight head coach.

This weekend, the Eagles look to move forward following last week's 6-1 defeat to No. 71 North Florida. Before facing the Knights on Sunday, Georgia Southern (1-1) will face Florida Atlantic and Florida Gulf Coast on Friday and Saturday.
