ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFAthletics.com) - The schedule does not get any easier for the No. 19 UCF baseball team as it welcomes Boston College for a three-game set beginning Friday night at the UCF baseball complex. First pitch is set for 6:30 with game two taking place Saturday at 4 p.m. and game three on Sunday at 1 p.m.
Last year, the Knights (3-1) throttled Boston College, 18-0, in Orlando, but the Eagles (3-0) have gotten off to a solid start and arrive in Orlando after sweeping the Caravelle Resort Tournament in Conway S.C., last weekend. The visitors knocked off No. 17 Virginia, James Madison and No. 35 Coastal Carolina, all 2011 NCAA Regional teams, including Virginia who made it to Omaha, Neb., for the College World Series.
The Knights look to bounce back after an 8-0 loss at No. 1 Florida that saw junior D.J. Hicks (Altamonte Springs, Fla.) extend his hitting streak to six games. Sophomore Ben Lively (Gulf Breeze, Fla.) will swap spots in the rotation with junior Brian Adkins (Orlando, Fla.) with the righty getting the call on Friday night.
Each game will be available on CBS All-Access with live video.
