Women's Tennis Hosts East Carolina, Tulane This Weekend

ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFAthletics.com) - The Knights return to action Friday as the Black and Gold prepare for a two-match home-stand against Conference USA rivals East Carolina and Tulane at the UCF Tennis Complex.

UCF continues to get production out of Jenna Doerfler and Alexis Rodrigues who pace the squad with seven singles victories, while Taylor Dubins is 8-6 on the year. Over in doubles, Dubins has partnered with Andrea Yacaman for a 6-5 mark.

The Knights (1-4) open play against East Carolina (0-1) on Friday at 2 p.m. The Pirates are fresh off a loss to No. 60 Virginia Tech, falling to the Hokies 7-0 at the Burrows-Burleson Tennis Center in Blacksburg, Va. East Carolina is led by senior Natalie Collins, a four-year starter for the Pirates. After the UCF match, the Pirates will square off against Tulane at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.

Following its meeting with ECU, UCF will face an unbeaten Tulane team (3-0) on Sunday at 10 a.m. The Green Wave improved to 3-0 on the year after sweeping Xavier (La.) 7-0. The 3-0 start is the first time Tulane has gone unbeaten through three matches since the 2003-04 season. The team is led by Caroline Magnusson and Emma Levy, who are a combined 6-0 so far in 2012.
