ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFAthletics.com) - Unable to compete in doubles due to rain, the UCF men's tennis team fell 4-2 to North Florida Friday at the UCF Tennis Complex. The teams began the afternoon with singles contests and then concluded play on a cloudy afternoon in Orlando.

The Knights (2-4) picked up victories at the No. 5 and No. 6 singles positions. Facing North Florida's (4-2) Leonardo Nahar at No. 5, senior Joe Delinks (Falmouth, Mass.) eased to a 6-2, 6-2 victory. At the No. 5 spot, junior Juan Bolona (Miami, Fla.) held off Graham Edgar (6-4, 0-6, 6-4). Bolona was down an early break in the third set, but broke back at 3-4, held serve, and then broke again for the win.

"We were disappointed that we did not get the opportunity to play doubles first as I think it would have helped us set the tone for singles," UCF head coach Bobby Cashman said. "UNF played us tough today, but we need to continue to step up and continue to compete and finish points."

The Knights will return to action on Friday at No. 39 Miami.
