ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFAthletics.com) - The annual UCF baseball Fan Fest presented by B2 Café was once again a great success as nearly 900 fans packed The Venue to meet the entire baseball program as it gears up for the 2012 campaign. Beginning at 6:15 p.m. many UCF supporters arrived to take in the food, games and prizes.

Aside from the "Guess Your Pitch" and "Wiffle Ball Home Run Derby" games for all of the younger fans to take part in, head coach Terry Rooney had his entire support staff and players introduce themselves all while handing out prizes such as autographed baseballs, gift cards and even a pair 2012 season tickets to enjoy the action at the UCF baseball complex.

Many players had fun introducing themselves and teammates. Junior Joe Rogers (Winter Haven, Fla.) was one of the many Knights who enjoyed his time meeting fans inside The Venue.

"It was awesome to see everyone out here tonight," Rogers said. "It's a big night with the Memphis game and I was glad to see everyone come over here beforehand."

Rogers and the rest of the Knights are looking forward to the 2012 season and Opening Knight that is less than one month away on Feb. 17.

"This season is going to be a good one. We are going to open up a lot of eyes this year. I think we have a very special group of players and can go pretty far this year," Rogers added.

The Diamond Girls were also introduced tonight and will be seen around the UCF baseball complex for every home game, including five ladies that will be on the field retrieving bats and foul balls.

Season tickets and a variety of ticket packages for the baseball season are still available by calling the UCF ticket office at (407) 823-1000, or by visiting UCFAthletics.com.
