ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFAthletics.com) - UCF's spirit program is ready for Nationals this weekend, and junior Morgan Ferrell takes UCF fans inside the memorable journey with her online blog.

Yesterday was my favorite day during the week of Nationals. First, we received our "K" shirts branded with an inspirational quote from the famous basketball legend, Micheal Jordan. Traditionally, we wear the "K" shirt the day before semi-finals at the group practice. It is a little reminder that the competition is just two days away! (Like I could forget!) After everyone gushed about the shirts, it was time to get down to business! We warmed-up our elements in the UCF Arena, crammed into the vans and headed to ESPN's Wide World of Sports Complex to get a first hand look at our competition stage. After practicing our usual 10 minute warm-up, we performed the routine full out! Although there weren`t many people there, it was a great opportunity to sense how the competition will feel like backstage. We weren't there for long, but practicing on the actual warm-up floor made me feel even more prepared. Next time we hit those mats, it will be time to compete!
After we threw the routine, it was time to head out to Clermont for some fun at senior Steven Stubb's house. Everyone was excited for some good ol' barbeque! Twenty pounds to be exact! It's safe to say that everyone left Steven's house feeling, well, extremely full! It was so much fun to take a break from all of the stresses involved with Nationals and hang out with the team. With only a day until the competition, everyone is staying positive and focused! I think we are getting rid of all the extra jitters that sneak up during the week of competition. With the group practice coming up, I know we will put on a great show for the visiting teams. Let's show everyone that our hard work is paying off, hard hat style!
